CANADA DAY


Introduction and origin –

 Canada Day is observed every year on July 1 to celebrate the creation of Canada. This Day was formerly known as Domination day is a National holiday of Canada. This day commemorates the joining of Canada’s original three provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Canada province which is now Ontario and Quebec)as one nation in 1867.Canada day also  celebrates the anniversary of constitution which was assigned 1ST of July 1876.

The 100th anniversary of the nation's official creation in 1967 saw the growth of the spirit of Canadian patriotism. That is when Dominion Day picked up and people started celebrating it with great emotion. By that time, the holiday was already widely known as Canada Day and the official name was not adopted until October of 1982. 

Ways of celebration –

The first tradition which is involved in the celebration of Canada Day is Parade which evokes the spirit of nationalism in citizens of Canada, since the day happens in summer a whole lot of outdoor activities are observed for the celebration. People enjoy Barbeques in morning and end up the day with beautiful and happening sights of Fireworks. People wear red and white in honor of Canada's national colors and the Canadian flag is proudly hung up in front of buildings and on windows.

How kids celebrate Canada day?

Canada is a little more special for Kids as it is a off day of school, they celebrate this day by reading and knowing more about Canada, This day is full of activities for kids they make crafts about Canada, Play and Dance with Canada day ribbon wands, Make side walk designs with red and white chalk, get dressed in Red and white as well.

Kids enjoy Barbeques and music festivals. They also pay visit to their close friends and family.S
