Independence Day 4th of July

INTRODUCTION OF FESTIVAL AND ORIGIN -

INDEPENDENCE Day, also called the Fourth of July in the United States, the annual celebration of nationhood. Independence Day is a federal holiday in America since 1941. The celebrations of Independence Day started back in the 18th century during the time of the American Revolution. On 2nd July 1776 when the Continental Congress voted in favor of Independence and two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson.  The written declaration stated that the American colonies were tired of being ruled by Great Britain.From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence. Before the declaration, America was part of the Kingdom of Great Britain.

WAY OF CELEBRATION -

Independence Day is celebrated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches, and ceremonies. The celebration is done by countrymen to celebrate their Tradition & Culture, Politics, Heritage, History, Society and in order to do their patriotic displays. Families often celebrate Independence Day by hosting or attending a picnic or barbecue; many take advantage of the day off and, in some years, a long weekend to gather with relatives or friends. Decorations (e.g., streamers, balloons, and clothing) are generally colored red, white, and blue, the colors of the American flag. Parades are often held in the morning, before family get-togethers, while fireworks displays occur in the evening after dark at such places as parks, fairgrounds, or town squares.

 

SPREAD OF FESTIVAL & DISADVANTAGES -

 On July 4th, 1777, the first official July 4th celebration was held. This day was celebrated with the firing of guns, cannons, bonfires, and fireworks. Philadelphia (then capital of the United States) was the first city to celebrate July 4th in this manner.  Other cities, later on, took up the practice of firing guns and fireworks. As John Adams the 2nd USA president said, quoting “It will be celebrated with pomp and parade, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other.”  In order to celebrate the American spirit and enhance the festivity fireworks and explosive devices are used widely associated with entertainment and aesthetics but each year they injure thousands of people and cause millions of dollars in property damage.

How kids celebrate 4th of July?

Children the most Valuable resource of America celebrates the day of declaration and glory of America  by painting their face in color of U.S.A flag or some other patriotic designs , they are involved in making patriotic wands , by being  busy in hogging festive foods .
